Need simple ways to prepare pasta for toddler please!?

I have a 20-month-old son, and he can be a picky eater at times, but he still eats well. I read on here about one mom's child loving pasta, so at the store today I picked up a box of bowtie pasta and figured I'd give it a try. I didn't realize how healthy pasta is (I knew it was a good carb, but it has lots more to it than just carbs!) until I checked out the label today, and now I'm all for buying different types (spinach, sheels, egg noodles, any kind of pasta) and fixing it for my son daily. Tonight, I simply boiled the bowtie pasta and then threw it in with some cubed bread toasted in butter and sauteed it in a pan with butter. (it's something my mom used to do for us when I was a kid and we all loved it.) My son did, too! But, now I'm stuck! I need more recipes, but they need to be simple! Nothing too messy that a toddler can eat with his fingers or a fork. He does like to dip things though. If anyone out there has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you & God bless!

Try various sauces served on the side he can dip into - cheese, pasta sauce, ketchup, mashed/pureed veges or even a bit of thick soup which he can mix with his pasta or dip into. Grab the little containers of prepared dips and sauces sold in the Deli section of the supermarket.

Try multi coloured eg pureed spinach and pureed tomato

Pasta with a variety of sauces is a great way of introducing different tastes to the little fussy eaters.

by Heinz pasta- they are made for toddlers- and children loves them too- my baby sis loves them!

Use BIG pasta...tube spaghetti, penni, even manicotti. They're so easy to grab, and it's amazing, but they are fun for them to eat as a cold treat.

When you cook your spices with the pasta, you get great flavour, just like the answer encouraging stock.

Ukranians make something (Bukovian) Nachinka. Baked, it uses an egg& cream base, mostly nutmeg or cinnamon, and makes an economical and tasty treat. Lots of on-line recipes, or you can use my contact tab for a recipe from a mennonite friend. You would not believe how good this treat is!!! Most old country(read Manitoba) Ukranians would serve it with Cream Gravy!!!

Also, pasticchio. MMM. Topped with a parmesan bechamel, it's much, much easier than it looks; mommy and all will love it,and it's not as messy as regular pasta with sauce. It incorporates finely diced veggies, so it's got the 5 food group thingy covered, and for vegetarians, meatless doesn't lack a darn thing!.

when u boil your pasta chuck in a stock cube to add a different flavour eg chicken then just grate some cheese and serve or how bout chilling the pasta and add some ham to it with some veggies in

cut into small bits. and go easy on the butter and sauce.
