1 medium banana
10-12 blueberries (or any berry)
3 oz formula/breastmilk/milk
add all to blender (easiest to use a single serving blender like a magic bullet), puree until smooth.
I gave this to my daughter in a toddler cup w/ a straw, but would also work in a sippy cup w/out a stopper. She seriously drank this in less than 5 minutes and was angry when it was gone. Fast, and Healthy lunch or breakfast!
What recipe have you had good luck with?
sounds yummy will have to try it when my son starts eating soilds and drinking drinks like that thanks
thank you for the recipe. I will star your question because that just sounds yummy! Although my daughter can't have it yet (she's only 4 1/2 months) I will save it for later.
I wasn't planning on making my own baby food but I did see a quick recipe on a website.... wholesomebabyfood.com I think it is. Anyway it gives you easy recipes on making your own baby food. There is one with mashing up an avocado and a banana together & formula if the baby is young (like mine).
Thanks again.
YUM!
I put mango and blueberries through the food mill and then added some whole milk yogurt and put it in the freezer for a little while. When it is kind of frozen, I smash it up and give it to my 10 month old. He loves it, and I think the coldness/coolness feels good on his poor little gums. (teething.)
I've done a few iterations of this, using anything from banana to kiwi to peaches, even avocado!
Thanks! I'll try it! My 13 month old daughter loves homade pancakes with applesauce smeared on top, then rolled up, so she can hold it in her tiny hand!
